Charlie lives behind my Mimi’s Brass Bed, he sleeps Curly Q'd under the floor Shaped like squash and sort of red Charlie, although, thought to be Isn't a Monster---Instead He's a fiend When sleeping over at Mimi's house, And almost nearly asleep Charlie creeps---to slurp My nose He’s wired weird--Charlie is With a brain that never quite ignites--catches fire After he slurps he jug-a-lugs Across the way Till he’s way over there Fastly he does, zeeking Puffs of pepperoni smoke With a light that flashes A flash-light Stuffed beneath my pillow I click it bright In Charlie's eye Bowling ball--round green, sort of icky Charlie smiles, opening wide Like bags of chips Displaying zig-zagging Teeth I have to smile and giggle Just a little, it would be rude If I did not, cause... Charlie is a fiend, Not a Monster A wired weird fiend By all means---but He's a good fiend of mine |
