O' Christmas Tree

Once upon a frosty morn,
I spied a tree in full adorn.
Outside my window sparkling bright,
Shimmering in the morning light.

Tiny bells in crimson red,
Ornaments of gingerbread.
Golden stars reflecting rays,
Lifting me from my malaise.

Who had spun the magic there,
Upon the pine so sad and bare?
Breathing life into its sap,
Waking it from winter’s nap?

From branches hung crystal balls,
A thousand lights and pixie dolls.
A mini Santa with eight reindeer,
And smiling snowmen full of cheer.

I donned my coat and ran outside,
The pine stood tall and beamed with pride.
I sang the song, “O’ Christmas Tree”,
I swear that it did smile at me.
