Midway chrysanthemums
Pack visions and illumination
Loneliness turns into green shade
Silent dance of meditation
Moving from town to town
Comes away a secret
Sitting on a Ferris wheel
Intense and intermediate
Placed on life support
In a summer home

Sometimes a lonely mourner
Touches tragic loss
Shedding soap bubble tears
With bad timing
Dangerous dilemmas cross
Looking at the spirit of love
Breaking down sexual courage
Standing trial for murder

Frontier women with a falcon’s heart
Meeting whispers of good-bye
Along spiral paths of mutual mistrust
Where attitude kicks the butt of privet lives

Playing tootsies with a dragon lord
Surpassing origin
Redneck fortitude
Reproducing village idiots

The turtle doves bankrupt
Pouring martinis on ice
Human cause sears effects
Loose strings tighten up
Driving visitors away
Empty bed and breakfast
With dead interns to pay

Undercover agents
Sneeze immune deficiencies
With a cynical sense of humor
Silencing Long Island estates
Where wine shops loose identity
Religious owners protest war thrillers
While saying 3 Hail Mary’s
Slaying sweet sorrow
Unaware of the Adult Book Store
Holding their daughters prisoner

Heaven fights for feelings
Confident in loving relations
Where poverty swings on survival
Finding the meeting ends
Written on the wind spaceships
Pretty things in the 1st person
Collecting humans for final battle
Political memoirs with celestial
Ivy Law Grads
Artifacts with great powers

And so the future may look dim
But where magic becomes a deadly test
Every detail, every note, becomes
A firestarter…and a key to higher education

Lee

I dont know where you were coming from, starting from, going from, arriving from on this.

Yes - chunks of words but a rant I think.

I love your words but this seemed to be right when it was started and then was storm attacked.

Outstanding, truly outstanding. Many more voices like this and such a message can't be ignored. And hope, yes straight in the eye hope, as a challenge and broad beacon to include all in its understanding.

This could easily have been too overwhelming in its scope to attempt to confine in the space of a single post (and I've known and failed often in such all inclusive expression) but you've done marvelous.

"Every detail, every note, becomes

This is true.  And you help with the education in every write you post.

(But I still like to complain).

Great write Lee J.

I find myself on the edge of understanding this as I read..but there is always another horizon right over the hill in the next stanza...which is wonderful...your poetry is perfect for a transendental, like I think I am...it is like reading early Bob Dylan lyrics, always fresh and always a challenge..

"You lose yourself, you reappear
You suddenly find you got nothing to fear
Alone you stand with nobody near
When a trembling distant voice, unclear
Startles your sleeping ears to hear
That somebody thinks
They really found you."

("it's alright ma, I'm only bleeding)
            (Bob Dylan)

can we rewind it all
and slow it down

and look out the window
when the good parts come on
