Arthur Selza, a crocodile
Walked upon Blackpool's Golden Mile
He dropped a large golden tear
And began to lament
His pocket money gone
He'd gambled all day
His railway ticket
Was now well away
Wandering by the seaside crying aloud
A fish swam up, hearing the sound
Go home Arthur, you're spread all around
But I cant swim, said Arthur betrayed
I show you how, said the fish
You do it this way
So Arthur swam home, in a year and a day

Sounds like a story about Las Vegas.  I’m sure there have been a lot of golden tears dropped there as well.

Great story….. well except for poor Arthur.

Thanks - the character Arthur Selza was my brother's.

The best of his ideas I liked was Arthur balancing his bus ticket on his nose, when the bus jolted and he swallowed his ticket.
