Visiting Earth on a Guest Pass

Outside, stars sparkle...
Moon, slowly turning her back...
Inside, all is rain....

I was melancholy today, flat. All day feeling like I'd been the guest of honor at a party, but they forgot to send me an invitation....trying to catch that feeling here...

Thinking my sadness
to come from my surroundings
I fled to this place—
to hear wild geese crying out
“All lodgings are the same.”

the epitome of sadness...well penned!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Beautiful in its sadness!

... but you saw the stars and the moon and hope just blooms in this vision ...

No one writes haikus better... but how I wish your life gave you happier ones! *S*

After reading your response, I can only say... you were successful. *S* What a beautiful image of sadness... knowing that joy is there... but being in another place with its sparkle out of reach and misery your mantle... wonderful work!

When it cups a star in mourn

Enjoyed how well you expressed your feelings in a Haiku.
I think we all have lonely days. Hope tomorrow is a better day!

LOL... You should be feeling MUCH better now... you wrote a hug magnet! *G* Sly, you are. *S*

I hope they helped, my friend... even if your pen does create beauty from sadness, I'd still wish you never bore that mantle. *S*
