Home accounts walk in someone else’s shoes
Bound by minds built for change
Dollar signs are family ties
Confrontational to the game

What I wouldn’t give
For moonlight sighs
When it’s cold outside
I’m walkin thru your heavy thoughts
Kicking pebbles, wishin you were mine

I can breathe without you
Unafraid of some things new
But, hard faces turn to worn out scowls
False imprisonments, you know the ones
Endless despairs
Hot-headed blame, their
High and mighty every days
Insecurities….fears
Narcotic opinions dogeared

So I write a song or two
Just to hear the sounds of you
And it’s shameful without
What inspired tomorrows
The vital part of who I am
Like our memory’s friend
Held captive in your arms

What I wouldn’t give
For moonlight sighs
When it’s cold outside
I’m walkin thru your heavy thoughts
Kicking pebbles wishin you were mine

I watch another world come by
Sold-out by all
Don’t they know what’s really soul?
And sugar to the mind?

Take a look around
Don’t wave good-bye
Remorse is not a spoken word
It holsters feelings
Petals ever change
Falling through the cracks
Of another day

I’ll never stop believing
In rock-hard motions of apology
Who lives like this, as time is sprintin?
Where violent winds keep flirting
With surviving love that says so long?

And then one day, your scent walks forever
Within the blades of green, green grass
Slipin on worn shoe moisture
Touchin fates own wineglass

Where inner strength roots
So closely disheveled
What could have beens
Coming in waves
Along the shore of lambskin

What I wouldn’t give
For moonlight sighs
When it’s cold outside
I’m walkin thru your heavy thoughts
Kicking pebbles, wishin you were mine

What fears have I, that’s impossible to stop
It’s me you’ll never find
Through our lonely ripples of time

~ I suppose that many of your readers will  have experienced those same feelings at one time or another. I now am of the mind, that what is meant to be ~ will be...

Beautifully expressive writing.
