Hear ye, Hear Ye!

Make ready all across the land, upon each package place a bow.
Adorn the hearth and deck the halls with holly sprigs and mistletoe.
Dust off those childhood memories, for they've retained within themselves,
a spirit cloaked in yule-tide warmth that leads us to believe in elves.

Drape garland 'round to dress the stairs, the hall-ways and, the mantle-piece.
Put up the tree, and, test the lights, entanglements that never cease,
and just like that, it lays you low, more than one shock that you recieve,
for as the Christmas spirit grows, you'll find you're ready to believe.

Each stocking hung, each candle lit, each ornament that's hung just right,
some winter scene has triggered it, a moment filled with pure delight.
Above the the bustle of our lives, no matter how we view ourselves,
make ready all across the land, the time's come to believe in elves.

this time of year of elves and Christmas bows,
of Moose and Deer and Santa's sleigh,
and little Mousie's toes.
