soggy leaves carpet the sidewalks
presenting a slippery pathway
               beware

as scent of winter settles in
moments of reflect

the choices I have made
...some regrets
               yet

few memories would I change,
for winter’s cold seeks only to remind
that touch of spring gifts a weary foot
               fall

before the snow is cast away
I sit a while

feel warm

pondering
thoughts of you

Kacy

There are some very soggy leaves here, as well.  The time of change between seasons is a good time to reflect.

Liked this very much Kacy.
Wonderful feel of thoughtful moments, and good memories. Nothing better in life than to be at ease with the self, and our surroundings.
Good write.

seasonal ponderings

among the soggy leaves,

the crystal white,

the sunshine glows,

the springing appetite...

(It's not even winter, and here I find myself skipping to spring!)

You rarely wade
in romantic waters.
Perhaps it's
too deep?

I enjoyed this very much.  Ken

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Ah, Ken, I don't want to get in over my head. *sigh*  There are so many incredible romantic writers here, I always think my romantic writes just don't float as well as some others.

Kacy?  I adore this because My God,
yes . . . exactly:

the choices I have made
...some regrets
               yet

few memories would I change,

very few would I indeed change.
