There Is

if I pulled you to me
how close would you fit
there is
such a lonesome place
under my skin

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart

A short stab but a painful one. A loneliness so void it would be a vacuum. Well done

All night I could not sleep
Because of the moonlight on my bed.
I kept on hearing a voice calling:
Out of Nowhere, Nothing answered “yes”.

The need is nothing
when compared to understanding
lust with all its pretty colors
bending into rainbows
through the prisms
in the windows of the soul;
the quiet heart draws love
without demanding
the challenge
is remembering the goal.

and I have spent a lifetime trying to fill that spot with trivialities...

You write of it so simply and beautifully.

This one made me lonely for conversations.

miss you

So much said in so few words - it's a gift I envy.  Well done!

There is ....

... an emptiness waiting for its fill
          a heart missing its beat
a skin lost in its warmth

and a soul wanting to be whole

there is much to be said in these few words.
