Does anybody know a simple love song,
one that has no ego
needs no pride,
a song that would go prowling
on the back roads,
with room
to take a tired man for a ride?
It doesn’t have to be a golden oldie;
I don’t want to weep
for lovers who have died;
I want to see the world again
through new eyes,
with lyrics that bring rhymes I haven’t tried.

Someone told me
I might need a little romance
to take the bitter edge off of my soul;
I laughed
because I see the headland’s highways;
and I miss the simple state
of feeling whole;
I just watched a brilliant Autumn dawning,
through blue water eyes
as from a ship broached on a shoal;
the lee shore tide surrounds me with my wreckage
as the waves of time digest it
with each roll.

'I might need a little romance

Oddly, it was romance that gave me my bitter edge...

Pass the Chambord and we will sit by the fire and talk about Nina.

There are such songs, I'm singing one at this moment, one of several I've learned over the years....I'd share it with you but for a simple truth of it: It has no music or words. Such a thing just can't be shared; it's either within you or it's not, you either hear it unaided, or you do not.

I want to see the world again
through new eyes,

yes, yes, and another yes

I understand this.

There is a song and the title is, Silly Love Song.  I'm not sure who sang it back awhile ago...but the lyrics are timeless.

dear sir
or should i sing
wisdom man of mine
your love
goes back
amongst ancient time
where romans roam
making love
so carelessly
didnt see
the sign
so ruins
they came to be
love is blind
but control
isn't kind
let them dwell
in their sin
become blind
to whats happining
within
to their
surprise
i took them
beyond the skies
told of what
the future
holds
but yet
they let sin
take control
man's fate
god's hate
lies
despise
love
devil will
shove
who
will win
numbers
again
in the sky
6
element
6
signs
6
cycles
now your turn
to disciple
