Harsh death
for a gentle poet,
tears still fall
beside the songs
that resonate deep
in the heart,
as crowds gather
this december
sunday,
to scatter poems
and petals,
and to imagine
a world
where PEACE and LOVE
still echo louder
than gunshots,

in john's
strawberry fields
we will go
