~*Just Too Darn Busy To Write A Poem *~

I'm too darn busy to write a poem,
Gosh these days I'm hardly ever home!
I can't keep up with likes of you,
Doesn't matter what I try to do.

I've decided just to hunt and peck,
Read here and there, hey, and what the heck ...
If I sit and worry about all of this,
I'll just get sick about what I'll miss.

Know this my friends I really do care,
Late at night at these pages I stare.
I read all I can until my eyelids close,
So I'm doing the best I that can, I suppose.

Enjoy your December and don't work too hard now.

I know this all too well of late, as I peek in here briefly.

Gee, last night I darn near did fall asleep at my computer and swore I would never get THAT bad!  This place is addictive you have to peek in sooner or later don't ya?  Happy Holidays everyone, now is my busiest month so I do what I can in here, and forgive me if I miss you.

Seems to me I am going to bed with the chickens anymore, but getting up way before dawn even HEARS the crack...

Mysteria, this is charming, and a good one for next year at this time...

I've been SO busy too. And it's not even like I'm doing a lot for the holidays. I'm not sure what it is but hours just seem to disappear, even when the days are long. Happy Holidays to you

You say you’re too busy to write you a poem,
I bet if you tried, you really could show’em
No fancy big words, just straight from the heart,
That’s all one must do, so get at it and start.

Just think up a subject that’s easy to do,
Start huntin’ and peckin’, and then you’ll be through,
In a blink of the eye, before even you know it,
‘Cause lady you're good, a really fine poet.

Have a Christmas that’s filled with joy of the season,
And being too busy, ain’t really a reason,
To deny us the pleasure, of a really good poem,
So start huntin’ and peckin’, and commencin’ to show’ em.

We all are getting busy that is for sure, and hey Tim, just what I needed one more guilt trip to add to my already huge pile!  I am coming back as an octopus next time through here.     Happy Holidays to y'all.

This season is about love, let's spread it around generously.

A great big Texas-sized hug to you, too.  Happy Holidays.  Remember the true meaning of Christmas this year.  Christ likes a selfless Christmas.  Find joy in Him and His season.  It's the best time of the year.  Your poem lit my face right up - which was much needed with more Severe Thunderstorms arriving tomorrow afternoon.  Dang, we're up over 50" of rain this year.  I would like a "dry-spell" for Christmas.  Can you arrange that for me?

Your poetic friend,

Kevin

Hey Kevo!  Heard you had your boots on down there.  We had a sprinkle of snow last night but it was gone by morning.  I agree, a selfless Christmas, but in preparation of all that selflessness, there is sure a TON of work to do, baking, decorating, parties for seniors, kids, etc. keeps an elf on her toes.
A huge Texas-sized holiday hug to you too.
