Something That Was Mine

Once I loved
a special woman.

Once I kissed her every
morning and held her tight
through peaceful nights.

Once I thought that love
was something that was mine,
but then I learned that no
matter how much you want
love, sometimes it just
doesn't have the time.

Ouch -- at least you salvaged wisdom....but at such a price! Some tutoring is simply too expensive....
