The night bird has come again
To sing the song of summers end
No more will the flowers bloom
Beneath the earth their slumbers keep
Summer birds now have gone
To warmer climate to sing their song
Colder nights and snow filled days
Are not too far away.
And soon the night bird will come again
bringing with it winters end.
p.s.  This one was written on a whim and half a sleep.

Happy Holidays All

You are a good poet as soon as you try to reach others with your words.
You are a great poet when those same words touch your heart first.
