Far from where I am going

0 posted 2004-11-30 10:03 PM

She smiled
standing
in front of me
asking what
it was that
i had been
jotting down
in this crimson
notebook.
My answer
was "You."
I proceeded
to read.
"Standing
with silk
hair flowing
in subtle
room breezes.
eyes shining
with sapphire
reverence.
she smiles
and I succumb
to euphoria."
taken aback
she giggled
and expressed
feelings of
flattery
and of disdain
towards poets.
But i am
not a poet
I'm nothing
more than
a truth spinner
weaving emotional
blankets from
my words
only a pen
in longing
confessing all
to a page
that occasionally
slips into eyes
of subjects.
a man
sensitive to
all around.
all of these
but not a poet.

(another quick write. I hope you all enjoy)

I see she said...you spell secrets.
A delightful find here.
Keep writing.
