Once upon a long ago,
In a land of ice and snow,
Lived a teeny tiny elf,
By name of Wee, elf called himself.
Wee Elf was homeless, on his own,
No friends or family; all alone,
His parents gone, an accident,
So in the snow wee life was spent.
Wee Elf was lonely, oh so sad,
He missed his parents, Mom and Dad,
He’d cry himself to sleep each night,
Beneath the glow of North Star’s light.
Then one day, Wee Elf was walking,
When up ahead he heard some talking,
Oh me oh my! Who can this be?
Said to himself, the elf called Wee.
Perhaps it is a polar bear?
That thought gave Wee a mighty scare,
Would Wee Elf run? He felt such fear,
But Wee had to know, who was so near,
So Wee snuck forward across the snow,
Down on his knees, Wee Elf crawled low,
Toward the voices, in anticipation,
Mixed with fear, then came elation!
Nine tiny reindeer in the snow,
Running hither, to and fro,
Playing tag, all having fun,
Wee Elf stood up, commenced to run,
Towards the reindeer yelling out,
“Hello reindeer,” rang out Wee’s shout.
“Quit your playing, look at me,
I am an elf, an elf called Wee.”
All the reindeer looked around,
Out across the snow white ground,
They heard Wee yell, but saw not Wee,
For as we know, Wee Elf was wee,
A six inch elf in five inch powder,
Is hard to see, so Wee yelled louder,
Then Donner cried, “look over there,
I think I see a bit of hair,
Moving there across the snow,
What it is, I do not know.”
Blitzen ran to check things out,
When he heard, “Hey! Watch out you lout!
Where you step for I’m down here.”
Blitzen jumped in reindeer fear,
For Blitzen yet could not see Wee,
A lock of hair is all Wee be,
Perhaps a rat the reindeer thought,
But then Wee Elf up on rock got,
And to nine reindeer said, “How do?
I am so glad to meet with you,
And by the way, did you all know,
That that one reindeer’s nose does glow?”
The reindeer laughed, “we know,” they said,
“Rudolph’s nose it glows bright red.”
The reindeer asked, “Where are you going,
Do not you know, t’will soon be snowing?”
Wee Elf replied with look so sad,
“I have no home, I wish I had
Some place to go, I wish I did.”
As one wee tear down wee cheek slid.
The reindeer talked amongst themselves,
“Santa always needs more elves.”
So Cupid said to elf so wee,
“Climb aboard and you shall see,
A place so special, you will never leave,
Except perhaps on Christmas Eve,
If Santa Claus to you would say,
Come for a ride in my toy filled sleigh.”
Wee Elf smiled and said, “Let’s go.”
And now my friends, you all now know,
How Wee Elf came to help build toys,
Up at the North Pole, for girls and boys,
How Santa found a new wee friend,
Merry Christmas to all, farewell, the end.

You brought back my Christmas grin...
and just in time!

All it took was a "Wee" poem...
