the river she grew too big
to rub her ripples on the side
where the bank turned over
some porcelain moonlight

she was pale tremulous
frosted with the glass
of soft mouth water
slippery handfuls overflowed

the shadow man told her stories
about her fingers in the mud
and how she made the roots grow,
about the woman water's calling

that made her feel oceans distant
were her body close
and shudder song skies
were her only sister's twin

she found new sides then
for her bath shape boundaries
and danced for the shadowman
with her fingers in the soft

she said the suckle mud was his heart

Well.. the title drew me in... and the words drew me deeper into thoughts of my own...

made me think of the river I call the blue.. and how she floods at times..and is always changing...

well done sir.. very well done...

Your power to gather the masses and speak to each one in a whisper, softly caressing with breath the skin just below the ear..is surpassed by none...
