Without flesh,
breath,
or warmth,
yet you move.

Your gaze
still holds
in other worlds.
What passes
pauses
within your spell.

I feel a sadness
in my heart...
for one I never knew

before I saw
your eyes through time

bid me
love you...

for awhile.

Listening to every heart

The poem is very interesting as I recently read a short story on the internet wherein a guard in a museum fell in love with one of the portraits until he had a dream of his fantasy...and she was not what was portrayed in the picture, back in the museum.  He ended up destroying the painting - almost - until a second guard looked at the ruins, and was captivated by the same "spell".

It's a good read.  I wish I could find it again...

and this?  Is a good poem.
