Footsteps on the window
Endless self-denial
Lord, do I feel guilty
Looking at her smile

With elegance and beauty
Shining from her face
Dancing with her heartbeat
All my worries are erased

Then lost in admiration
New miracles appear
And paradise gets doubled
When she looks into a mirror

Oh, Footsteps on the window
Guide me for awhile
You keep me moving forward
When I'm looking at her smile

I'm looking at, loving it, living in...her...smile

This was quite a tribute
(I remember as a kid making 'baby footprints" on the steamed car windows with the hammer side of a fist and dotting fingers for toes....)
a tribute to a beloved and a poem that drew me in. Enjoyed
