by the light of chill winter moon
in still of the night
within the realm of Midgard
i beg of thee
come for me soon

mount thy chariot of myth
ride like the thunder from afar
cross the star struck skies
through clouds of icy mist
with lightning in your eyes

wrap me within thy arms
of the Norse gods of lore
red flame burning to white
sinew formed from Thor
belted in Megingjard

for thee I shall wear
the tresses of Sif
the lure of Jarnsaxa
and await thee heart bared
within thy halls of Bilskirnir

carry me there
our self made Valhalla
world weary warriors are we
folded together as though heated steel
forged in Frigg’s fires

Susan

There is so much passion in this plea....beautiful, and he a fool who does not ride off in answer.

the dragon ship waits darkly
as do the gray eyes
of this braznaper

there at the fiord mouth
where the black stones
wear the pale of your name

carved by the tide of my dreams
when my blade was idle
and my hands were soft spoken

you tempt me, and I wait
what says your soul
when your eyes greet me here

on this velvet morning

hiyo giddyup
on my broomstick mare
here I come to save the day

with my tied stick sword
and my newspaper helmet
are plaid boxers in style

for sweeping a lady from her feet
and tenny shoes too
for deft climbing

the backyard fence
to steal you from your bed
and take you to my treehouse lair

Martie - am pleased this piece could speak to you - thank you for your kindness

Dixie - thanks for the wow - you gift me a smile

Dark - I absolutely love your reply - each wonderful - and in each I could see you - love the stick horse and tenny shoes - to come rescue this lass held in the tower of her second story suburbia -

Hugs you all - love too -  Susan
