May I be as water to
your lips -

In the thirst of your
desire.

And in the moments after
contact...

May you thirst for one
drop more.

Goodness, Eric...you can say more in such a few words
than most people do in long, long paragraphs.
My Honey-love can also do that. It is a gift, I do believe!!
Beautiful writing, as always.
Hugs,
Ethel

  Bravo - Bravo!

Wonderful though sometimes thirsting for one drop more isn't a happy state to be in.

Hi Helen,

It certainly depends upon the perspective we choose to hold. Desire just is. Neither good nor bad...it is only our attachment to our desires that cause us suffering. In Tantric Buddism desire is the most powerful means of achieving liberation. We use this power to be free of its grip and surrender in recognition of a watchful heart.

In sufism, desire itself is the connection to the Divine. Rumi tells us that which we desire...desires us in return.

We can ease our suffering through non-clinging to any perspective or label. By simply recognizing that what is...simply is. And what will be...is not yet. In Korean Zen they call this "Don't know mind".
We don't know...and that's ok. It's enough to simply be.

Love,
Eric

I am leaning into you
to savour your touch
I hover in your aura
like a bubble of air
at the top of a waterfall,
unafraid of drowning
in your devouring love
to thirst no more,
until the moment
of emerging
from your embrace
for just a single shared breath
and a quick touch
of flaming lips
in the glistening sun,
only to lean once more
into you
in search of fulfillment
in search of Home.

What a deep joy to read your masterful "One Drop More" and to feel inspired.
I think your note to Helen is very enlightening for all the readers.
Thank you.
I love you.
