walking the surreal

The saloon is dark
Filled with the sensual
Pretty legs and lusty busts
The rin tin tinkle of piano keys
Playing honky tonk spill
Drink up – have your fill
The amber flows never ending
Smoke in the air swirls
Riddle spun signals
And the bar tender just grins
‘tis a nether world to the uninitiated
A tainted bordello of sin
But life smells real in the four door open
One need only step on in
Take a ride on the wild side
Com’on, I’ll pour you a gin

s.a.t.

Just remembering a brief introduction when I was young to a side of life of which I knew nothing - a dive in Louisianna where a woman in our party recived a pair of brass knuckles with a switch blade for her birthday and was thrilled - what an experience -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Excellent writing, Susan. I don't know why, but it kind
of made me think of an old western movie in a saloon. LOL
I used to love the part of Gunsmoke that had
Miss Kitty in it. LOL
