Self Talking Again

I do
and I did
and still
the matter
is all mine.

No sense pressing the issues
or the boundaries that keep
when I feel tangled in life.

Maybe it's the moving on thoughts
that whisper inside
getting loud enough to drown out
the next time's happiness.

Use to be a jealous streak in me,
of words, in words between words
But I have risen above them
and no longer hunger for the taste of.

There are challenges and then
there are challenges
and when all is said and done
what really matters IS.

M

Amazing...not more than 90 seconds ago, I was thinking of "boundaries" and here I come to find you in my head again!

I'll be quiet now, and go off into a corner to hear myself...

You nailed this.

IS.

not what might be, what you imagine, what someone says, but rather what IS.
