Dancing despair drapes the windows
Scuttling shadows slither across the sky
Sending soft perpetual drizzle
Floating the oil slicks on the roads
As 4x4's speed by trusting in traction
Grow-lights glow in each house's windowed lights
Singing UV warning, tiddle-dee, fry with me
Emptied chamber smoking cordite
With the surcease deceased
When comes rejuvenating from above
Caressed by a beam of the sun's love

Thanks for the breaks there, Huan.  If memory serves, which it rarely does without a hefty tip (darn unions), this was written during a red light while driving in southern Greater Portland by a mall back in late '99 after hearing of 'sun lamps'.  I think it was by Clackamas, but my spelling is prolly way off.  During the almost perpetual grey sky, there came a sudden clearing and the sun shone most brightly.  It was while looking up that the words came unbidden while pictures flickered behind my eyes.

Even though this deals with serious issues, the glow lights and fry with me brought me a chuckle - enjoyed this -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
