Picture perfect from the heart
weedless sprout from the start
yet headless one can say
too optimistic one fine day

Wholesome images projected
detract from ones later infected
when a day's sharpness fades to grey
and the lines of youth begin to fray...

Blue overalls tend to garden chores
their knees rub on hardwood floors
a days clarity helps keep perspective
foils grey days, imbued in defectives

Picture perfect from the start
a wholesome person from the heart
integral from head to toe displays
even as the lines of beauty stray...
