The death of Josh Crable
some thought a fable
but I knew it t'were not
'cause I fired the shot
that ended the feud
that had ensued
for a century or more
when Josh hit the floor
I thought I had won
and I holstered my gun
then I felt the pain
and saw the red stain
right there on my chest
well you know the rest
I up and died
but no one cried
'cause no family was left
to grieve; be bereft
Josh Crable and I
did both up and die
the Crables and Wills
from up in the hills
both families no more
when we hit the floor.

Ok, Sir, before I hit upon the internet...
from where did this pour?
I would know, Sir, as I am mostly set,
to know for whom this is for....

See?  you have me waiting, wanting, hoping,
that you will share a story....

"The death of John Crable
some thought a fable"

And some still think that, like me!
