Suppressed Emotions

Many a poem waiting
Its the same scenario
Preliminary sketching
Which way will they go

Poems hang between
Among high and lows
I am being a nonentity
Until my emotion flows

Harbouring the hidden
That my heart contains
Paper dreams I shred
Between the ink stains

Suppressed emotions
Are refusing to budge
My inferiority complex
Spills a tearful smudge

I have admired your ability to use so few words in a sentence and have such meaning in a short poem

Dear Hope your words are tough, but this is how you feel and you express it always with grace and power.

... but I do hope you won't linger on those complexes, for they have no reason to stay with you!

Sending much love and hugs.

your poem lives
as your breathe
your dark or light
on its conception

Many a poem 4 or 5 times
Or is it years
Until the feeling

Suppressed Emotions

Visions of words echoing themes
Dream

Many a poem waiting

Thoughts out of step
Are kept
Thinking they're rubbish
And years provide
Their skill
Dancing on vision
Of words
To illuminate
Ideas

Until my emotion flows

Harbouring the hidden
That my heart contains
Paper dreams I shred
Between the ink stains

Suppressed emotions
Are refusing to budge
My inferiority complex
Spills a tearful smudge

Of frustration
of my empty soul
Knowing I have the words
But half
Not whole

You have a talent Hope that should never ever think of block

If the poem is about you trying to write, allow yourself to "still" to face the challenge of allowing parts of your mind.

Old trick I use - I treat my body like a subway - I tell my feet to close up the office and start to go home.   I consciously work through my system telling all the parts to go home and route them via some link to outside of the body.   This is really nothing more than getting the stuff out of your system but the biggest fear people have, is losing control and not understanding that losing control that you gain it.

Keep writing

Dave
