Clouds follow the sun
Turning crimson before they are done,
Feathers flutter to treetops
Where they settle in quiet as the day stops;
But the brook chatters on
In conversation that is never done,
And I watch the stars
Wondering where and how very far
Are their dancing lights.
They dot the black with glittering sights,
But clouds cover them
And each becomes a lost gem
Till another night ponder
And my mind goes in thoughtful wander.

Gloom

Smooth as silk, Professor!  This has such a nice blend of wonder, realism, and serene wandering.  Nicely done...  and to the library!
