Listening to every heart

Light/Dark ~ Summer/Winter

It is that yin meeting yang
opposites polarizing
like magnets
the classy clash of
cymbals breaking barriers

sunrise, sunset
meteoric lightshows
in-between

and I find comfort in white
a cleansing of souls
even where sin strives darkly

For now, summer leaves are still intact,
holding up the first of winter’s remains
but sun will outshine the day
weeping clean white tears

and I feel like Cinderella,
in preparation of the sisters
for their ball among confetti cream
and powder wigs white

for the moment,
I know beauty,
and my beast awaits.

Melting into the white purity you share here ... leaving behind for once all darkness.

Beautiful piece, with quite the punchline at the end, a bit like the game of crack the whip.  Thanks for this one.  Ken

"The hill-side's dew-pearled;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in his Heaven -
All's right with the world!"

From "Pippa Passes"..Robert Browning

Love that poem, and I beleive it relates to this one....

Hi Sunshine!

Loved this description of seasons colliding and opposites attracting with the fairy tale references.  You, my friend, are truly poetic in your soul.

Love You Much!

On the line of yin and yang
Not in solitude of self pondering
Or the hysteria of a seething gang
Betwixt the poles wandering

Not every shadow hides a sin,
Some are bare as the first dark
Some might hold a new friend
Whose life drifts to the stark

The gray lingers at the edge of light
A swirl of time gentle blending
Twix the bright day and dark night
And the starts and the ending

A divider to separate things that differ
Gentle transitions so won’t shatter
