Leaves cascading from stately trees,
Their days of glory are ending.
They swirl about in the autumn winds,
As their branches bare are bending.

Noble trees now unadorned,
Their cloaks have dulled and died.
Standing naked before beast and man,
A shivering maple cried.

Well done Linda..
and if the leaves weren't off the trees as of yet,
they sure will be with the winds of the approaching storm today.
Warm Hugs~

Hi Linda .... It 's sad that the poor maples are naked and shivering. But soon they will have on a beautiful white coat that will keep them warm till their Spring clothes return from storage.

Sending you hugs for such a remarkable piece.

they do tend to look regal to me too amid their nakedness daring us to look away from their stark beauty

(big angel hugs) Oh Linda, when I was a little boy, I always felt the sight of a tree without leaves was one of the most depressing sights of all, forests felt like graveyards to me and represented my world when I was struggling! (sigh) Today, the sight still isn't pretty to me, but I see it a new way now; the witnessing and testimonial of hope perservering even in the most languid of times and its rewards in the end with life returning and faith blossoming when you channel hope and patience together! God Bless You, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Hi, Marti!

Yes, a nice, thick snowy coat will insulate them against the cold winter winds! From the looks of it outside my window ~ that won't be long! The ground is now covered with a light, coverlet of that white stuff! lol ~ but not enough to make snow angels!

Loveya!
