In quiet rhythms
of shared almost silent heartbeats
held in splendid oscillation
suspended in an infinite moment
of rising and falling waves,
where the gap between "you" and "me"
melts into "we"
and the "we" disolves
into the autumn mist.

In quiet rhythms
lost in the melting closeness of embrace
your eyes remained concealed
I heard you weeping not knowing why.
Were they tears of joy of what is gained
or tears of sorrow for years of lack?

In quiet rhythms
of my own greedy hunger
in self satiation of unforgottn dreams
on the bittersweet threshold
in the liminal space
where emptiness and fullness meet face to face
I heard you weep and felt your tears moisten my shoulders and did not know why
...and I didnt ask.

Indeed blessed in silent dance
as the murmur of falling rain
soothes beneath a naked sky.....~P

Paul, this was a beautiful poem.  There is such perception and sensitivity and it reaches beyond pulling memories of emotions not easily expressed.  You did it so well.   ......jo

I'm glad to see your post again.  I must have read at least four or five times before, thinking I had already responded! It is so easy to visual and relate to...  It's written in such a soft voice.   Very much enjoyed, choshi.
