Listening to every heart

Fairy Laume and Me

All things are as they should be
When first touched by the Laume fairy
She enters your soul, and then your heart
And finds a way to become a part
Of your life

I first found her on wisp of wind
Then a story or two of her begin
I found she was I and we belonged
In the heart of her true song
Of my life

Her fates followed me all around
In her silence, there was nary a sound.
However, by placing herself in my way,
She has found a place to stay
In my life

She found me in a sideways store
Where odds and ends were sold and more;
She caught my eye, then called again
I picked her up, for she was then
In my life

I carried her around with me
Lighter than light, my Laume fairy
She grew more precious with every step
For in my heart she had leapt
Toward my life

A grace wise now hovers over me
Her closed eyes seek prayer’s reverie
Her wings are tattered with the weight
Of all that matters from the fates
Of our life

She insisted that I receive her well
As she cast upon me her fairy’s spell
For receiving is considered yet a gift
As in giving to others is such a lift
In their life

Do you suppose a muse may possibly find
A way to bring echoes of heart to mind
Will she allow me more joy in giving?
That I may find in my days of living
This wonderful life

She says, “Yes.”

“The Laume is a charitable soul in the old sense of the word charity, which is loving and giving. She knows the joy of giving without expectation of return. From practicing this ourselves, we learn that there always is a return, often from the least expected source. The universe likes to keep its accounts up to date, and her job is to encourage us to keep the credit side of our cosmic accounts balanced by freely giving. We have been given the earth, the sun, the stars and the moon. We have been given trees and flowers and things to eat and a multitude of prospective friends - it's going to take a considerable amount of generousity[SIC] to come into balance with all those gifts already received.”

She most certainly exists...and stands overhead of me when I am at my desk, always there, watching and guiding...

JL, you were most certainly on target when you picked up the source of my research.

Thank you, everyone, for enjoying this repost with me.
