They simply can’t fathom defeat Though their party’s in angry retreat, Now that Iowa’s shown What we always have known: If the vote isn’t close, they can’t cheat. --- Though the left wing is singing’ the blues You say I shouldn’t gloat or abuse; “Don’t be mean, keep it sunny, You’ll catch more flies with honey,” But dead meat is what I’d rather use. --- Kerry’s flip-flops that broke all proprieties Weren’t nuanced cerebral pieties; Just preventing home strife by matching his wife and her Heinz 57 Varieties. --- The left wing’s defeat’s written large, They have no ammo left to discharge So they whine and complain But the fact still remains, That now there are grown-ups in charge. --- Though you’ve lost you can sound like a smarty And make the left wing still look hearty; Simply claim that your foe Is a Nazi: you know, As in National Socialist Party. |

I don't know whether to enjoy your rhyme, applaud your vent... or just appreciate such vivid images (flies on meat... yuk* *G*) I think I'll do all at once... for though I usually give political poetry a wide berth... I can't resist truthful mirth. *S* Well done! *S* |
