Tending

I tend the fires of my life
With logs of strife and loving wife
Stir the enzyme’s pepper prime
Within the rhyme of passing time

Each moment that is given me
Upon an awesome living sea
I fill with every type of joy
My mental powers can employ

And those that have a sulfur smell
I wash away in winds of swell
And wear a rainbows wedding shawl
To grace each day my feet will fall

I pluck the flower of each dawn
To power me through early morn
And eat my share of humble pie
To see me through this world I vie

And that my friends has gift me well
And kept me from the doors of hell

Those verses are so poetically cool that its beyond me...

Stir the enzyme’s pepper prime

And wear a rainbows wedding shawl

you are poetic brilliance Sybabers

but these lines in particular touch me and make me smile....

I tend the fires of my life
With logs of strife and loving wife

And wear a rainbows wedding shawl

I have been a very fortunate moth in that I had the esteem pleasure of meeting you and Isabel and saw how delightfully you two compliment each other. Like a matched set
of salt and pepper shakers...and Randy to add the spice...LOL....
The longevity of the love is evident.

JM,
You are the brightness of my light
The wind that brings my wings to fight
The filling of my cherry pie
The very apple of my eye.
The moth that flies my lowly flame
Or just ask Randy why he came?

I think we all need to print this verse and keep it somewhere we'll see it each day... and follow your example. *S* Beautiful work, my friend! *S*
