The bantam Bush prances imperial
His herds have returned to their cereal
They chomp on their oats
While he reads “My Pet Goat”
In a robe of Rove’s flagrant material

“A mandate,” proclaims clueless Bush
On der heels of his Diebold putsch
So now he’s the head
Of the fools he misled
While the rest of us know him as tush

Bush, rearing his head, a proud stallion
Commanded his “moral” battalion
“Onward god’s soldiers,”
(As if he bore boulders,
‘neath a tail where there’s nary a scallion)

Truth was held incommunicado
By an empty agenda’s bravado
The neocon scum
Who banged  patriot drums
Are in fact fecal bastinadoes

The fleas wouldn’t leave the incumbent
Their faith dovetails dumbin’ down ‘gub`mint’
Thought supporting their pick
Graduated them ticks
Say “they suck” but that’s somewhat redundant

Choice!
I love to do lim's.
This may get me into that mood.
Thanks, I think.

Richard,
While I smile at your obsession,
I must give confession...
I am glad we had a choice,
as I gave it all of my voice.

However...

all in all, I hope we can remain
poet friends.

RS
Poetical satire/lampooning, is a difficult art to take command of, but you have done it very well here...

I shall echo ice

and

Sunshine

didn't really want Bush
but had to parry Kerry

didn't think it wise to change horses midstream, either

right flank, left flank
humvee or armored tank
on the move
in the groove
gallop on, oh horse's hooves

hope the above five lines of inanity
have no political forms of insanity
they are just silly vanity
avoiding bad profanity

now I shall stop before I cannot crawl out of this hole

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Who was the lesser of two evils, Bush or Kerry, sometimes I wonder, but wow, very strong!
