To Young To Die

As I think of the men and women
that are wounded and dying in Iraq
to defend out freedoms, I feel
that every loss is tragic, but
my heart really goes out to
the teenage soldiers, who for
whatever reason  (desperate
for a job, to earn money
for college, to run away
from a parent or the heartbreak
of a lost relationship) decided
to enlist in the military and
now find themselves in a
dangerous war in Iraq.
One that could end their
lives in a heartbeat.
I hope and pray that those
with kind hearts will try
to discourage these young
men from enlisting until
they take a few years to
carefully think it over
and allow themselves to
mature enough before they
make this life or death
decision.  This war can
still be fought without
sending our teenagers
over there.

may God go before our troops,
and our prayers go behind them.

This Lydian earth
covers Amyntor,
Phillip’s son,
who often engaged his hands in iron battle:

no painful disease
led him to the House of Night,

but he perished
covering a comrade
with his round shield.

They go to war children...how can they ever really know what it will be like. They come back...and we spit on them...who is the monster there?

The Military Man or Woman:

They love God and country,
family, friend,
every man or woman,
and every citizen:
conservative or liberal,
Black or White,
they will give up for you
their very life

They will face any enemy,
who threatens to kill
they are the brave ones
to keep us free.

If for you these verses are untruth,
visit any another country
and search out your own truth
you will learn for certain
what you think you know
is nothing more
than what the media
wants you to know…

Join up, if you are true to the goal
Land of the free.
Land of the brave.
Liberty, or death,
and
don’t tread on me.

They are too young to die.
What you have mentioned is true.
But without these brave
what would you do,
where would you be
without the willing to keep you free?

Greater love hath no man than this that a man lay down his life for his friends.
   ~John 15:13

Be happy with the gift your were given:
To be born in such a great country.
