The man I knew is lost
happy never after
in foolish thoughts
of the gardener,
epilogue no dancing partner,
soldier and mother die
in this epic grand quest.
A door is a door,
no homecoming
for the heart of semi-stone
and this house knows a sorrow.

It’s a question of seasons
in late-night questioning,
my submission loaning voice
to your house of white birches
in sync with the final feel
of stars and clay …
just a maybe
in one bed three wept.

You are there, here with me
in my story untold
summoning the will
to wish upon a snowflake
a touch,
and today I want to be
your memories of love
and first impulse of serenity
rising above it all.

My interlude with fancy,
what it ever is
to ponder
the invisible art
of morning sun –
another day, another blessing,
unseen surprise my talk with God
to jumpstart my heart
trapped beneath the fists
of comedy and tragedy.

In my defense,
it was a gift at birth
the flowers and tears
and rolling tide of a dream.
Am I blue?

Fenced by words
this wearied lamb,
a young lady’s mind
like Venus fading;
would that suffice in a harlequin world?
Heart-melt moments
and what the fingers know;
can you say you don’t need her
each blessed morning?

What can I say
in the wake of dream
this cherry moon
lifted up
just because …
so tell me how it’s done,
mind power
to bring passion
when the stars gushed
in a small part of the world,
but who cares about technicalities,
essence of the heart
the comfort of darkness
in the summer of love.

Just breathe
sleeping in the lap of Delilah
loving the moment.
I stepped aside
from the swirl of thought
beneath the sheets
intrinsic as love is
for broken hearts.

My absence,
no words for love,
but beyond simple
there is colour,
soft petaled thoughts
dancing wildly
lacking the “perfect” poem,
metal shadows searching.
There is no mystery
in simple history,
only we two upon this earth
too forgetful
behind the times
of love at first sight
holding arms with memories.

Call your mother,
Still, still sweet shadow
changing focal length
but that’s how it’s meant to be.

Mere distance upon my death,
passions gliding gently,
half moon on the river
of heaven,
hearts becoming silent.
I have no choice in this.
A new season comes
less full in my soul
but foreverly love
though she dreams
of mirrored moments.

Vanished, removed,
looking for answers in the silence,
the dancer or the dance?
No keys along the highway,
paths and shadows
over the sea
of last wishes;
goodbye, Charley, goodbye.
Would the storey continue
to say, “I love you”?

Forward, faster,
from death in the cemetery
farewell to a friend,
the person you left.
A stream runs here
and I shall wait
love’s kiss
where forever is bright
and everybody is beautiful.

Where did our sunset go?
Even in the wind
I muse the words,
my lover,
as I rest beneath
the poet tree.
Heaven’s extreme,
desert magic,
stealing love
to another place.

I want to feel you
through the looking glass.
I am stained dark
foreverly entwined
In her awakening
beyond the ledge
of the same old dream.

We hold these truths
knowing
there are rainbows
and joy of life
underneath a different star
and time unfolds
into these arms
basic human desires
flexing the flustered butterfly –
learn to love those bad times,
fond memories our daily rose
conditions being none.

Editing reality,
it’s not like yesterday.
A new dawn in our sky,
tenderly, a crimson wind
of illusion
fighting the stream
and stone walls,
screaming walls;
I didn’t die.

(To be continued in a little while - I need to catch my breath)

And I must catch mine... I've just read the first 6... what a delightful breathlessness!!

This is beautiful work... a weaving of words into still more poetry... truly a labor of love! *S*

Suthern - thank you so much for reading all 6 - perhaps also a labour of love.     Words weave and entwine soul into mind and birth to the world the truth untold ... you think?

Sunshine - glad you're enjoying.  I'm not too sure if I can manage the whole lot - some titles are a real challenge.

Yes breathe- you deserve it - but this is a delight -
