If I Forget

If ever I should forget
The touch of your lips
Slipping over my soul
In a whisper of want
Remind me

Speak again of love
Let the warm breath
Of your spirit
Waft through my heart
Brush my soul
With gentle murmurs
Of remember

If I ever should forget
How your breath tastes
In the dawn
Trembling on my skin
Bringing visions
Of heat to my mind
Recall my dreams
Of heated fire
That spirals within
At the sight of
Your liquid eyes

If I should ever forget
The warmth of you
The way your breath
Stirs my hair, my heart
Wrapping my sighs in Oh

Tell me, remember
Summon my spirit
Bring me back
In mind to your side
Where rainbows drip colour
Into pools of joy

If I should forget ever
The truth of you
Speak just once of fire
And I’ll remember
The heat that flared

Recall my spirit
If I should forget
To remember the
Magic
Of you

Marsha

Hello Marsha

It's always so nice to see your happy face and to read your fine words of love and romance.  Here are a couple of favourite quotes that I'd like to share with you.

"...you have bereft me of words,
Only my blook speaks to you
through my veins"

and this.....

"Drink to me only with thine eyes
And I will pledge with mine
Or leave a kiss but in the cup
And I'll not look for wine"

I hope you liked those, Marsha and I hope your life is filled with much love and happiness.

Take care........Sue

I'm anchored in you

Sweet Marsha dearest, I know you will never forget that feeling of love.

You have worded it so beautifully my friend.

Marsha, you're an inspiration.  OK, you knew that already.  Look what you made me write:

I forgot you
with another man,
another hand
that held my hopes
and life. Another breath
that warmed my throat,
another skin like soft
and yielding silk
upon my breast.

I forgot you
in a summer night,
a light and fitful breeze
played with my curls
and I forgot
my world.  And yet,
perhaps...

Perhaps in some forgotten dream
you touched my cheek
and feather-kissed my brow.

A sadness came upon me
and I could not explain
to him
the reason for my tears.

For I could not explain
to me
what I forgot

or how.

Thank you everyone, you are all so special and kind to one who doesn't get in here as often as she should.

Nan darling one THAT is superb and should be posted on its own. I really truly love it. On my post it won't get the exposure it should, but posted in its own right it should garner the applause it deserves.

Love and warm stuff
as always

My dear Sis,

Something tells me you'll NEVER forget! This was beautiful and touches deep within the soul. You have a talent for writing of such deep love, such deep passion, and never missing a beat.

Hugs,
Amy

Since I first heard you read this, I had the chance to see the movie The Notebook... This reminds me a bit of that... and vice versa. *S* For some loves last even beyond our human limitations... and are our safety rope back to remembering. *S* Beautiful work!
