To watch her walk
across a room
becomes.. a thought
in the way she glides

carries a poetry
more than words,...
beyond all lines
of supple rhyme.

And wonder why
you should be paused,...
man of steel
in the real world.

Why
her eyes,
when they follow yours,

make you feel
like such a fool.

Derrick,

I think it more accurate to say
you like how I don’t get in the way
of poetry. Very hard thing to do,
and I usually fail.
