I waited for you...

So sure that you’d be there
my heart knew
you wouldn’t forget
not again..

funny...how much sound
silence can make
how loud the stillness can be

the unspoken screams at me
forcing me to face
truths I don’t want to know

but, I’ve known all along
haven’t I?

my heart surrenders
accepts the ache of you
is forever
but wallowing in it
isn’t...

Just dropped in for a few moments and am glad I did.  This is beautiful SEA - one of those "I wish I had written" things.

Applause to you my friend.

Nice writing...reminded me of the time I waited at Knotts Berry Farm with a dozen roses...she never showed...some days are harder than others...James

beautiful girlie, just beautiful! the honesty of this is amazing. I especially loved the following line--

"funny...how much sound
silence can make
how loud the stillness can be"

just beautiful susan, like your heart

Those lines are perfect. We always know and ignore..and in the end we pay for not believing the colors we saw from the start...

I didn't realize it was you on the steps.   Well now a double treat ... you back in blue pages and a poem worthy of much "silence".  Well done and nice to see your name in here.
