And he said, it rained so
hard on the way to California
And he said, that he could
hear their voices resound in his head
And he said, everything was such
a shock that it was like harboring angels
in the trunk of his car
And he said, if he had any energy left
he would have cryed till his tears turned to blood
And he said, he thought about me
on the way there
And he said, he wanted to
turn around and get me before leaving
And he said, he needed this
alone time to think
And he said, that I would
later need that time too
And he said, all expectations in life
faultered
And he said, "Release me!"
at the top of his lungs
And he said, the could hear him
but they wanted to stay
And he said, "I miss them."
And I said, "I miss them too."
And I said, "I'm sorry."
And he said, "I'm more sorry for you."

"I'm Sorry".  Such hard words to say sometimes, especially with sincerity.  The other person's part, the forgiving, is also hard.  This poem was so poignant in the way it was written.  Wishing all well!

This is effectively done, it made me ache.  The repetition worked well.

I too could feel the pain -

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.
