It could be..

The fall of a pin, slowly
spinning toward earth as silent
eyes follow.
The moment between beats of a yearning heart, the second before
a gasp or sigh, the break of dawn across the moor...as a
loon patiently listens to the silence before a mate’s call.

The pause before a bird softly lands upon a thin
branch as leaves silently shake the arrival, wishing
each well.

The hollow of a cave, deep beneath the earth, as a single
droplet falls perilously earthward...creating a momentary
splash and then perfect silence as concentric rings race
quietly toward the edge.

A star falling in the night skies, crashing toward oblivion
without so much as a whisper to straining ears.

Yes, silence....all of those moments...gathered up and
locked away with many other moments...as we stand
in silent ponder of.....

Hear it?

Yes I do hear it and I hear it often.  That of course is by matter of choice.  You gave a good twist to this subject and you gave us an exceptional read as always.  Much enjoyed.

Barry, Very nice...

And yes, such things do, indeed make a noise. Even when there is no one to hear the silence of it.

(And a "thank you", for the kind comments you've made to my posts)

Great examples of the sounds of silence..
Enjoyed each silent line....but I cheated, I read them out loud...
