In the winds of Cherokee song

Silence Beckons

Silence beckons this heart in a whirlwind sky
Tranquilized in display from yesterday's deny
Captured is the crystal in the clearest resolve
As frozen reluctance finds warmth in dissolve

Spiral are the thoughts in temptation's quest
Spun within an oval of nurtured desire's nest
Woven are these chapters in branches of time
Held in dissolving shadows of noonday climb

Hearts find entwine between fingers in pause
Secured to the lyrics of harmony in it's cause
Orchestras of surge purge these notes of song
Resting in the melodies of beckoning belong

Binds become toss on the shores of discover
Each breath kissed upon the winds in hover
Jeweled are the facets poised between sighs
Relinquished to surrender of eternity skies

Pages scripted in the inks of divinity sands
Notarized in witness to sandpiper demands
Delivered are the articles in seduction ties
Sealed in the unity of our knowledge wise

Silence beckons ...
        hearts listen ...
               eyes closed ...
                                  we answer ... yes

Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.

outstanding and amazing write...you know I believe we are a part of what we are yet to become....heck, man himself is a work in progress...first born into semi-seriousness of nature's dreams...love is faith, faith is love....predestined and favorable...representing all that is good..you sir have scribed an entire language of what is...and will forever be.

Enjoyed your views...awesome

I answer yes - yes - for this pause I would gladly be still - beautiful -

Susan

funny too - was just about to post a poem on silence - though of a different kind, when I saw your title

Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you.  Joy is a state of mind.

Superbly woven Mark.  Silence and love are
so much a part of each other. Swirling and
blending, become a part of each other.

You have given us a table, set with finery
from which we dine on your words.

A beautiful melody carries these lyrics here
to pass beyond the dreamcatcher...
Sending miracle notes back and forth across the water of a happy tear.

Enchantress - I am overwhelmed at your enthusiasm and I thank you dearly.

LeeJ - I am quite humbled at your amazing response.  I do sincerely thank you for that as well as the insight you left.

Susan - Thank you for the beautiful and am glad you enjoyed.

Magnus - It is the blending that seems the roughest amongst all that swirl.     I thank you kind sir for your words and am glad you enjoyed.

Earth Angel - And you angelic replies are a sweet enough dessert for any poet.  I thank you dearly winged one.

MC, this is just such a "pretty poem" ...
so many elegant lines...so many poetically lovely phrases and images on display here....

Captured is the crystal in the clearest resolve
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spiral are the thoughts in temptation's quest
Spun within an oval of nurtured desire's nest
Woven are these chapters in branches of time
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Orchestras of surge purge these notes of song
Resting in the melodies of beckoning belong
=======================
oh and ya know I am giddy...ya snuck in some allits and internal rhymes. lol
Your employ of personifi in this is superb... as is the mix of imagery and emotion... ( ooopps the E word)
and then there are these verses.......
Binds become toss on the shores of discover
Each breath kissed upon the winds in hover
Jeweled are the facets poised between sighs
Relinquished to surrender of eternity skies
Pages scripted in the inks of divinity sands
Notarized in witness to sandpiper demands
Sealed in the unity of our knowledge wise
absolutely stunning....
Jeweled are the facets poised between sighs
Relinquished to surrender of eternity skies
my oh my......
I do so love when you write in the sand.
divinity sands
thats just soooo poetically kewl...
I love how you do that...ya take an image..add a personify and a symbol or two...then toss in a turn of phrase and the result becomes so elegant and eloquent...
And your rhymes arent done justice unless they are read aloud to hear the melodics and harmonies of your cadence.
This is a beautiful sculpture of words MC...
I dont know how these "just come to you"...but Im sooo glad they do.
Ya need to actually read this one..its a beauty babe.  Trust me...the moth knows.
when you walked into the room it felt like time was standing still.
and I felt fascination...then my heart gave me away.
Nah, silence your pen, never! I was telling you silence is a wonderful state to be in, which I should visit myself more often too.     If you noticed you started a chain reaction today, Susan, Karilea, myself, and maybe some others all took off on your theme of silence I am afraid, so thanks for the jumpstart.
Did I ever tell you that we used to have an attorney here at the office with the same name?   weird.
About the silence...you penned it so well..
I recently learned to embrace the silence for it is teaching me so much.
Very well done, Mark.
Wanted to add my applause, for this is a keeper...both in sentiment and in artistic compliment.  You have raised the bar...
eyes closed...we answer yes"
Couldn't select a "single" favorite line, just blessed in the rain of beauty and excellence.
You took me there and back, Mark. I could feel the off shore breeze blowing,
and the quiet hush of palm trees swaying and waves rolling.
Reminded me of falling in love and how wonderfully lush it was.
The silence you depict is both silver and golden.
This is a breathtaking view in it's simplicity, and so very pretty.
JM - Well you again give so much in your reply that I have to use the "clear eyes" to get the red out from my eyes blushing so much.   Thank you so much my dearest friend.  Now about that reading aloud thing.  That works when I read others aloud but I tried mine as you suggested but suddenly I got these fuzzy yellow and black dots doing the tango across my pupils so I had to stop.  It was making me dizzy.   Now we won't even talk about that "E" word but I do want to thank you dearly for all you do and all you are.  Ya know the rest.
Mysteria - Silence? A wonderful state? Did they add another to the union when I wasn't looking?  LOL just teasing.  Now as for that chain reaction, I think you had more to do with that than my poem did so I owe you a double thank you.  Thank you (times 2)
Susan Caldwell - I believe you did neglect to tell me that about the attorney but that is quite okay.  Silence is a golden rod that I plan on fishing with quite abit and I can understand those lessons you recently learned.  I do thank you for those kind words and appreciate them very much.
Sy - Thank you kind sir and I do understand trying to follow JM in a reply.  Not an easy task to upstage the "moth" that ain't so mothy anymore.
Martie - Does that mean I finally got one off the ground? LOL   Thank you sweets.  You are so appreciated.
ThisDiamond - Well the sentiment was received quite well here also when I gave this to her so I appreciate you letting me know it stood out.  Thanks for the revisit.
Poet deVine - Thank you for commenting on the structure and rhythm of this piece as I am here to learn from all this and you would be amazed at what I learn each day.  Thank you again.
Lori - Wow!!!! I do appreciate that reply.  I think we all write in hopes that at least one person will be able to feel something in our works and you made me feel as if there is a purpose to me writing.  I thank you dearly for that and your wonderful reply.
Kacy - If it speaks to you then that is a good thing and I can relate.  Thank you much.
Suetang - You always leave me such wonderful replies and I treasure them.  Thank you dearly.
