Shadows canvas vanishing walls
as time slips into fleeting memories.
So expeditiously does time run through the briars;
as a rabbit would never to be seen hence.
Such mystery it shrouds in bounty.
Purposed obstinance does abide by omnipotence.
Where shall time take me?

Beyond the crossroads
the road winds by and by;
seemingly neverending.
Rest for the weary not.
For life hereafter abounds.
This road is never barred.

Even in death to be rushed
headlong into the abyss of time lost.
These moments, never to return,
dance with insanity on aged walls of innocence.
Merciless father of time prevails always.
Temperance; intolerable to him.

Rushed am I, into this field of fleeting memories.
To have become but a flicker of light principled in life.
Purposed in happiness within this time alloted.
For what choice have I in turn?
Shall I forfeit myself to these foraying shadows?
Or, relish in precious intricacies of the lit halls of home?

I choose this home, lit in love regardless of time's intentions.
For here, among those whom I cherish endlessly, I find solace.
The wife I have chosen with treasured children light my way
beyond the crossroads.

By and by my spirit travels time's endless road
lit by the love they so selflessly give.
Lo, that when the road carry's me away
I will not be forgotten by them.
Time never to fade their memory of meor I of them.
For they travel with me always.

Never shall we part.
Denying shadows their victory.
Memories to remain always, for us, life.

When, indeed, we pass through that field of fleeting memories
we shall not be paused.
Nor shall we become faded or extinguished.
Never may the shadows cast their sleep upon us.
We shall find resolve there in love's foundation together.
There on that road time, infinite time, shall befriend us all.

what a very cool analogy and personifi...
that line just spoke out to me...

An understanding so few seem to recognize and you spill it forth in the most sincere fashion.  No doubt the reader will feel the extent of your words and heart in this and that is a talent that any writer would cherish.  A great choice to bring back as these eyes are much appreciative of your words.  Contentment and appreciation with the knowledge of where it leads.  A treasure for any man.  SUPERB!!!

Relevent then, relevent now.

As I would hope poetry to always be.

(And, a small "thanks" for the kindnesses you've shown mine...always appreciated!)

Tremendous write through and through!  A pleasure to read, Kevo.  Your choice of reposts seems uncannily relevant.
