Subliminal Muse She hides herself well in my subconscious, concealed within murky recesses that I forget are there, but not. Unless I were to look for them. She is intuitive in ways undetected by my so-called sanity, always aware of ways that would tickle my fancy, or yours, but she buries herself when confusion reigns or tears fall, and sometimes, even she cannot tell the difference if I am outside beneath a cloudburst. She plays with veils, and secrets from my spirit truths though I would have her whisper them or let her speak in her sleep, involuntarily, both of us knowing that all truths will out themselves someday, especially the ones about how we really feel. She is subliminal, today, though I sense her veils to be colorful, silky and warm, as if waiting for someone to step from shadows to whisper just the right sounds that would allow her to step brightly, and sway herself home to me. |
