tears are pouring out of my heart
as i try and stop the rain from falling
and my world from collapsing
this coffee doesn't seem to be getting any warmer.

i remember,
the sun was out
and the grass was weaved between my fingers
you told me the sky was blue
and i believed you
but now it's grey with worries
as i try and relax
try and forget
but..

i remember,
my bed was soft
and the covers were over our heads
you told me that the world would collapse if we were ever apart
and i believed you
now my blankets are cold
and my world is about to disappear.

i remember,
the stars were bright
and your hands were aroud my waist like a life
jacket
and you told me you loved me
and i believed you
now i'm drowning.

This is so sad but so well expressed. I don't know why we're blessed with a memory because remembering can hurt so much for a long, long, time. Still, we're stuck with it ... until we let it go.

A crushing reminder of the trials of love. Fear not. Love will find a way. For all it's tears and all it's laughter and all it's work you'll know it's there when it doesn't walk away. Through all storms it rides, carrying you on it's tide. Love itself will be your life jacket (given and received). "Faith, Hope, and Love, and the greatest of these is Love." Keep your head up high. The only one deserving of your love is the one who love's through actions not words. Great poem. I have missed your writng while I have been on hiatus busy with my crazy life.
