Blue Eyes

Deep yet uncovered blue eyes reveal
secrets and signs of impossible dreams
first in the centre then off to the side
to swim in the pool of attempted denial.

Blue eyes, blue eyes, now they must lie
and close the porthole into a mind
too scared they are lest he who stares
releases rare treasures into the air.

Blue eyes, the protector of love energy,
jealousy guards an impossible dream
until time reaches out, touches on soul,
and allows a dream the freedom to grow.

I have a dream; I’ve had many dreams,
each one and all belonging to me
and impossible, yes, undeniably so,
but beautifully packaged in hope.

The sun rises today; there’s no one to say
hope doesn’t brighten a day!

Hi, Dixie - yes, and it doesn't really matter what colour they are either.

I'm a sucker for brown eyes so I agree it doesn't matter what color the eyes...this is good!

Thanks PoetdeVine - Being possessed of blue eyes myself I too am a sucker for brown - the attraction of opposites.
