Half dead poet...
not complete in verse or phrase
Spewing forth words from my mind.

A rainbodic waterfall
Senseless dribble
Skipping in rhythmic symmetry
ascending and descending.

Raging with words of love
undying and true.
Measuring the faithfulness of a man
but not completing the thought.

Darkness and solitude
Silence is never there
Just a storm of words
twisting and turning.

This mad man, never showing face.
Relentless in the night,
forever stirring
forever shouting.

Damn the poet,
Conjuring up buried illness.
Scratching his way to the soul.
My Soul!
The very essence of who I am.
With no regard to my placements.

Stop the words
Just make them stop!
Give me rest.
Do not toss me about my own soul.
I know what's there,
what is written.

Turn and face me
Show your face, your intent

I fight this poet,
My half dead poet
with his brutish white hair.

And with a turn of his gimp body
A picture of madness I can see
Astonishing sorrow mirrored on sight
A reflection
A mere reflection of me.

Tormenting myself
To awaken the quietness into the light
To stand and decide
To embrace the hidden
and slow the quest.
To accept all my emotions,
my flaws, who I am.

My half dead poet rages on.
Stripping me to the bareness
of my strengths and fears.
Making way for whats to come.

Dang, Shelley...
it's good to welcome you home,
I think!

Appreciative of what the
half-dead left
for you to share with us.

My gosh! I wish the other half of my inner poet was half as good as your half dead one! This was downright fantastic ~ and a keeper! ~ and might I add "understood and indentifiable"!

Now, please! Do not hold out on us this long ever again!!!

Warm, welcoming-back hugs,
EA

Passionately worded - deeply felt - excellent
