A Detour From The Dark

I never sailed a single ship
nor has one sunk in my honor
given this name I don’t deserve
but I am a heartful goddess
born to give it freely away
and meet you in a dream
whispered softly upon the wind
where it blows to get your attention
where the cool air spins in warm
notes played upon a dusty sky
this melody a detour from the dark
you think you are the winter
but my darling, this is the best
it has ever been for you are
the breath of the promise spring
in a new day

just some words cut out
from the diary of my heart
