explosions rain
a parade of molten butterscotch
melding hip
and thigh alive in melt
to boil
over this craggy embankment
drenching

skin

soul

with dull ache
'till embers
of fiery snowflakes

tears released

   shroud the hovering masses
   with madness,
   and surround gentle slopes
that grow at peak with such surges
of pressure as build

   and the bitter cold
   of my breath
be tempered by the changes
   such rumbling as these reveal

How can these eruptions of you
remind me
          there is always
a void
     and cracked seams waiting

to be filled
